Palop believes Barca will keep bargain even if they spend 30 million euros on Dani Alves

SEVILLE, June 8 (Primera Liga) - Sevilla goalkeeper Andres Palop believes Barcelona themselves have a negotiation, even if they end up spending 30 million euros over Dani Alves.

Reports in Spain suggested that Alves' move from Sevilla in their La Liga rivals Barcelona is almost a fait accompli, with the possibility of passage to be officially confirmed Monday.

The transfer is estimated at a value of 29.5 million euros, a price which could rise to 35.5m euros if Alves Barca aide to the league or Champions League success.

Even if Barca eventually be splashing out on the great Brazil international, Alves' teammate Sevilla Palop believes it is money well spent, citing the Real Madrid capture of Portugal centre-back Pepe as an example.

"The signature will eventually be cheap, because if they paid 30 million for Pepe I do not see why we can not pay 30 per Alves. I am convinced they will enjoy him a lot to Barcelona," said Palop, who is currently on Euro 2008 duty with Spain.

"He (Alves) is a great player, very difficult to attack and occupation, which does not spend his head when he lost the ball, and gives plenty of variety to the game of the team.

"Apart from the fact that it is a great free kick taker and scores goals with ease. There are few full-backs in the world as complete as him," Palop added in Spanish newspaper Sport.

May Alves won widespread acclaim for its capacity to attack, but insists Palop 25 years, not evade its responsibilities for defence.

"Do not believe he left his position to be discovered, because he is a player when the ball is lost in the attack trying to return to its position as soon as possible," Palop said.
