Ronaldinho is calm about his future
Outgoing Barcelona forward Ronaldinho is calm on his future despite the fact that it is yet to reach an agreement with a club for next season.
Ronaldinho and his teammates Deco and Samuel Eto'o all moved a step closer to the Nou Camp exit door on Tuesday after new Barca coach Pep Guardiola has revealed the star trio are not part of his plans for next season.
The former world footballer of the year was well below his best last season and missed large chunks of the campaign through injury.
He still managed to attract some interest from AC Milan and Manchester City, while Chelsea are also said to be interested in signing him.
Milan have since ended their attempts to take him to Italy and Brazil do not know yet where he will play next year.
But despite this Ronaldinho, who is currently in his native Brazil to rest before the next season, suggested he remain in place should not enter a club for him.
"I have a contract with Barcelona until 2010 and I just have to stay calm," he told Brazilian television channel SporTV.
"Until July 19 (time Barca pre-season training begins) many things can still happen, but what I'm worried about now is becoming better and be able to play again as soon as possible and to return to the national team as soon as possible. "
Ronaldinho has continued to insist that its main concern at present is the return to full fitness, rather than finding a new club, adding: "If God willing, I hope to return play as soon as possible. "
Finally, when asked by the Brazilian sports channel if it prefers to go to England or Italy, he simply replied: "I do not know."
