Ruud van Nistelrooy believes the Real Madrid will sign Cristiano Ronaldo
Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy believes that the Spanish champions sign Cristiano Ronaldo because they are "a club that signs the best in the world."
The day after club president Ramon Calderon has acknowledged signing the Manchester United star would be impossible, the former Red Devil Van Nistelrooy told Spanish newspaper Marca that Ronaldo would be a great signing of the Primera Liga winners.
He said: "It would be an important signing in Madrid because it is a club that signs the best players in the world, and that is what Cristiano east.
"Cristiano could bring a lot to this club. He is young, he and a long sporting career ahead of him.
"For Madrid, it would be a great signing."
The 31-year-old also praised his Holland teammate Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who is another player being linked with a summer move to the Spanish capital.
He scored a load of goals in the Netherlands, Van Nistelrooy added.
"It is typical of your number nine, he got the lot. Even with his head, with both feet.
"He has a great future outside the Netherlands."
